Well I couldn’t have said it better myself! I just read this recent post from Seth Godin, Organizing the Unorganized. This is exactly what we are trying to accomplish here, with trust marketing. This community can evolve into a valuable asset for all it’s members. In fact, in order to expand the community, it must be adding value along the way. I hope I am adding value already, and I hope you can see the potential in participating here. Let’s organize a community of people interested in improving online marketing and trusted relationships!

Ideas For How We Can Use This Community

So a big part of getting this community started is figuring out what information we can share here that will benefit the community members the most. The general idea is to discuss trust marketing principles and methods for using social media to develop online relationships. One additional concept that I think could serve the community well would be for us to share actual examples of marketing efforts we ourselves, or those around us, are putting into practice. Making a case-study out of an existing or soon-to-be marketing effort would be a great way for us to review and discuss issues surrounding trust marketing and building relationships. Let me know what you think about this idea, and please, share your own ideas. I want as much input from you all as possible!

I am really excited to have you here! This community is being developed to help develop our knowledge, skills, and networks as they pertain to trust-based marketing strategies. Trust marketing is about communicating with others to develop relationships. Whether you are interested in B2B relationships, B2C, or networking, this community is for you. Social media is changing the way brands interact with customers, as well as the way people interact with their friends and families. It is changing consumers’ expectations of companies.

As marketers, communicators, and public relation specialists respond, it is important to understand what is expected. As brands begin to develop social media marketing strategies, there must be a focus, a goal, an eventual ROI. Building relationships is this goal. Relationships mean earning trust and authority. These are powerful assets to any brand. But as slow as relationships develop, they can be torn down in an instance!
